You will also find lots of great restaurants both on and off the island. one in particular that you might like to try is Swordfish Grill & Tiki Bar in Cortez, which, was named one of USA Today's Restaurants of the Year for 2025. The restaurant, which is only about a 6 minute drive, is known for its locally sourced seafood and waterfront location. In addition to its food, it was recognized for its unique atmosphere and authentic "Old Florida" charm, according to Pulse of Manatee. It was one of only three Florida restaurants to make the list.
